Here are some shots from the first part of the USA road trip. First stop, Washington. What a great City! As a first time visitor to Washington it feels unlike any other US City that I can think of. Lots of open space and very 'low rise'.

The monuments are really impressive - as is of course the White House. The photograph of the White House that I took here was an effort to get an entirely different view to the one that we usually see.

Next stops - West Virginia and Kentucky!
